ABOUT KIM
My passion for art began at a very young age. My first work of art was "black magic marker on a red velvet chair". Keep in mind it was the 70's and I was five at the time. As I got older, my love for art continued which led me to photography.
My interest in photography began to develop (no pun intended, we used film at the time) while I lived in Washington D.C. Out of all of the art mediums; I love photography because it’s an extension of my personality. I can be innovative, engaging fun, spontaneous – you name it. I think it allows me to capture the true spirit of a moment.
Most importantly, I am a dog person and lunagraphix studios was inspired by my passion for photography and my other passion– Airedales. My love for the breed began about at the same time as "black magic marker on red velvet chair". Maybe that's the connection. Kandy was my first dog and led the way to Luna, Zoë, Halo, Cherry and Grover. It has been a true dog adventure full of big smiles & warm hearts for all.
